High Pastures is an artist retreat and cultural conservancy offering respite, collaboration, and inclusive space for artistic exploration.

We are a retreat space in the hills of southern Vermont. Situated on 90 acres of forested land surrounded by over 200 acres of conserved agricultural land.

We are honored to steward the unceded land of the Abenaki First Nations, who continue to care for this land as they have for generations. We stand shoulder to shoulder with the First Nations in the ongoing struggle for freedom from colonization and pay our respects to the elders past and present for their steadfastness and wisdom.

Plan Your Stay.

High Pastures is designed to holistically support the creative work of people of color and queer folks. We’re a self-catered rural retreat located on our zero waste flower + fiber farm. On the farm we host in depth workshops and create collaborative projects with visual artists, musicians, writers, and thinkers to get inspired and relax in a safe restorative environment.
